The Coalition for Utah ’s Future is a nationally unique, multi-issue, non-partisan, 501 (c) (3) organization. Through its general operation, the Coalition for Utah ’s Future seeks to address critical long-term issues, with the goal to enhance economic and social opportunity for all our citizens, to foster educational excellence and to promote and safeguard a superior cultural and physical environment.

Founded in 1987, the Coalition has tackled numerous issues including affordable housing, neighborhood and community, education, wildlands, health care, rural economic development, water, air pollution, transportation and information technology issues in Utah .

Our emphasis on consensus building makes Coalition for Utah 's Future distinctive. When we have identified a critical long-term issue, we seek to discover the common points of concern shared by leaders on all sides of the issue. From these areas of consensus we begin to find long-term solutions. We provide forums where the voices of citizens can be heard, particularly the voices of those at risk and under served members of our communities. We foster dialogue, information-sharing and widespread participation. We promote courageous community leadership, we actively search out, help develop and support new leaders, both individuals and groups.
