The Wasatch Choice for 2040
The Wasatch Choice for 2040 is the land-use and transportation "Vision" for Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties, developed by elected officials and the public to improve our quality of life as our region experiences dramatic growth. Implementing the Vision will allow us to absorb a 65% population growth (1.4 million additional residents) over the next 30 years and at the same time enhance our economy, protect our beautiful natural areas, provide more choices for how we live and travel, save money and energy, and improve our air quality and health. A Wasatch Front partnership of business, community, and government entities is undertaking an innovative approach to create the relationships and tools necessary to implement the Wasatch Choice for 2040, with support from the HUD Sustainable Communities Initiative.
