We all breathe the same air and rely on the same water. In a few years, we'll be sharing both with significantly more residents.

Because we are building houses ever farther from work and other destinations, the total miles we drive are increasing at twice the rate of population growth. That threatens air quality, contributes to increasing obesity rates, and reduces our free time.

It's no secret. If we drive less, we pollute less. Envision Utah promotes better air quality by encouraging alternatives to driving as well as walkable communities that allow easy access to daily destinations. If more of us have the choice to work and play close to home, there will be fewer cars on the road. We'll experience cleaner air, more physical activity, and safe, lively streets and gathering places.
