Public Survey  Public Involvement in Choosing a Scenario - Envision Utah launched a wide-spread public awareness, education and mass media campaign to encourage residents to express their preferences on how they want their communities and the region to develop, and to increase understanding of the options and challenges inherent to growth. Through television, radio and newspapers, we presented the scenarios, asking residents to consider the costs and benefits of each. An educational piece and survey were placed in over 570,000 newspapers in the region asking residents for their feedback. In addition, 50 public workshops were held to garner citizen input regarding the specific growth scenario they wanted to pursue.
